1700-1900

Looking at the the two presentations... we have examined the 1700's and 1800's. What have you noticed about the progression of history? Are these centuries more like us? Are they still very different? What stood out to you about this time period (inventions, immigration, innovation, industry, culture, etc.)? Compare and contrast these time periods with our current times. Remember we are still looking for an answer of how we got to where we are today, and how our world works today.

Also, think about the various activities run by your classmates on Thursday and Friday, and tell us how you feel it would have been like to live during 1700-1900.

300 Years

We have just examined and analyzed 300 years of history. 1400-1700 included many crucial turning points in history. This is beginning of the modern world. There were new ideas, new inventions, new lands, and was overall a new world. In order prepare to move forward, and examine the next 300 years (as well as prepare for LO's), please reflect on what you have learned over the past week through your classmates' lessons.

What stands out to you? What surprised you? What were the crucial changes that occurred, and why were they so influential? [Please explain]

What ideas, beliefs, events, can you still see the lingering affects today in our world? [Please explain]

How are "we" (the collective we, the world) still living the life of the 1400's-1700's?
